Worst Service & Terrible Food

1) My husband and i had only ONE towel to share between us. Rand the reception to get another one and that took then 5 hours to get it delivered.
2) The safe provided in the room ran out battery. Reported it and we would like it fix/ replace....NO ACTION TAKEN FROM THE STAFF AT ALL.
3)Breakfast was revolting. The coffee tasted like melted rubber. The eggs tasted like cardboard. THe bacon was 98% fat strips..it was unadible.

It's a hotel that has a lot of space on it but the money paid for it is too much... Rooms didn't smell good, they smell like humid... Pizzeria wasn't available at all times, Restaurant didn't have what you order all the time either. I also lost my sunglasses and I haven't been able to contact them so they can return them to me... Not a very good experience...

What a surprise!

The Laguna Palace Hotel is consisting of two buildings. We stayed in building B. This building seems to be used for the family traveller and for holiday groups.

The entrance/lobby is small but nice. The staff at the reception were friendly but sometimes seemed to be lost in view of directions towards Venice and public transport.

The rooms are around 25 - 30 sqm which is quite okay. We had two double rooms ( 2 adults and 2 kids - 16/10 years old ). The bathroom was okay too. In view of the cleanness you could see that they did not clean in the corner and under the bed. As we did not want to move in forever we did accept it.

Now to the real problems - drain in the bathroom ( shower ) was not working - you could swim inside the shower.

Sunday 30th of July we had little guests - cockroaches - we reported this to the reception and the only thing they did was sending a bottle of spray to our room. This is really poor service.

We once eat in the Pizzaria on the NH Laguna Palace. When we came in we already noticed that a woman was complaining about her food. I made a joke if we better shall leave the restaurant immediately. In the end I have to admit we should have left the restaurant. The staff was so unfriendly - who's the guest - the food - value for the money - was not good. Stay away from this restaurant.

I would like to admit that the Hotel because of the problems granted us a small discount. This was greatly appreciated.

I personally cannot recommend this Hotel to other people, eventhough the location towards Venice is nice.
