Fantastic location & amazing view

Mu husband and I spent a wonderful 4 nights at the Locanda Vivaldi from February 13-17th as part of our honeymoon. We stayed in a junior suite with our own private balcony that had a breathtaking view over the lagoon. The sunsets were superb from, I am sure, one of only 40 rooms in the whole of Venice with the same view! Absolutely well worth the extra splurge!! ( Contrary to other reviews you may read, the sounds of the ferry boats below, were barely audible as the floor to ceiling windows were double glazed, and there were 2 doors to open before stepping outside.) The furnishings in the room were fabulous, the attention to detail clearly visible. Dressing gowns in the rooms and plenty of fluffy white towels, beautiful linen, and a lovely lounge area in which to enjoy room service breakfast!! The hotel staff were always extremely courteous and helpful. The intimate bar was an ideal place to relax for a night cap.The hotel would definately be a 5 star if it had a full room service menu and a restaurant of its own. However, this is the only negative comment we have to make, and with so many wonderful places to eat, it really wasn't an issue. We will definately return and stay in the same room. It was wonderful!!
