Totally renovated, great room with very good air conditioning. Delicious breakfast from 7 to 10 30. Smiling and friendly staff. Very good dinner recommendation.
The manager, Ludo a real Venetian!! Very helpful with city information.
Very close to San Marco square. I will come back and recommend to friend.

Our room was way too small to be a double. The carpet was worn and smelly, and the bathroom had major drainage problems.
The receptionist was rude and snappy. We didn't feel welcomed at all the whole time.
The bed was okay if not too soft, and the absence of a clock in the room was very inconvinient.
Breakfast was poor, we ended up paying for a decent meal before a whole day of sightseeing on foot as Venice was meant to be explored.
You may think it's worth the price to stay in a 'central' area such as San Marco, but it doesn't take long to get to one attraction to another. You're visiting a very compact city, so don't be lured by the overpriced tourist areas.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone unless I despise them.

Top Local Tips for Venice

Pickpockets Beware pickpockets in St Marks area and if you do get something stolen do not believe the police if they tell you to go back to the hotel to report the loss - they are just trying to get rid of you.

Best season to see Venice I have been luck enough to visit Venice in both summer (July/August) and winter (early November). I plan to go again- and when I do- it'll be a winter break for sure. Aside from the lack of crowds (big bonus)- Venice just has the most wonderful winter atmosphere, - the cold weather encourages cuddling, snuggling couples to be walking around all loved up, and the light which emanates from the coffee shops and restaurants, combined with the winter light makes for a perfect romantic break.
