Top Local Tips for Venice

Exploring Venice My wife and I really enjoyed our trip to Venice. We found that it was really helpful to have a good hotel with a central location. We soon found that the best way to explore was just by walkiing. All the main sights are fairly close together so find a street map and just walk! (Watch out for the exorbitant prices in some restaurants!)

Rosa Rossa Rosa Rossa is a nice and not expensive restaurant very close to the hotel.

Vaporetto tickets Buy a ticket for the full time you're going to be in Venice - 12, 24, 36, 72 hours, whatever - you will use the waterbuses more then you think and trips to the islands such as Burano and Murano are included in the price. Great value.
