I have just returned to London after staying at your hotel and all i can say is its been a talking point the towels sent fluff all over the room and bathroom no bath robes or slippers or turn down service ''' Breakfast was a joke service dreadful seven staff and not one could come and ask if i wanted somthing more than the dreadful basket and the worst coffee i have had since i was a child you had my passport work it out not one member of your staff greeted us or said hello bar the staff in the annex i love Venice and will be back but not at your hotel i had been looking for a friend a place where she could have a large party next year .
I will be spending tomorrow with her and letting her know my finding
the weekend was great your staff in the restaurant were so of hand we went next door to harrys bar and it was like going home fantastic food and wonderful service your staff should take a training course there .
people say Paris or London staff are rude i travel alot staying in around 15 hotels each year this has been my first time to ever put a complaint on my e.mail i loved my vist to this wonderful city but your hotel needs to wake up and get back to good housekeeping .
what also makes me very sad my parents always
stayed here and loved it so i thought i would have the same experience they used to have it is now i feel to cold. im sure you have heard enough from me. Raymond kyle - Room 715

Top Local Tips for Venice

Travel out of season I would reccomend you visit out of season as even in March it was getting busy.

Don't take private water taxi from the airport Take the pubic vapretto water bus, its like $16USD (12 euro). The water taxi will cost you $120USD (90 euros). The line to buy water bus tix is long when a plane comes in. Before I go back I'd see if I can buy the vapretto tix ahead of time so I won't have ot wait in line. Oh and look out in line - Italians seem to be rampant cutters-of-lines.

harry's bar the hotel is next to the famous "harry's bar" .. funny, i never heard of it ... it stinks .. tourist rip off.. two thimble sized drinks ...30 euros ... rip off.. i was shocked to gibve the bartender a 50 and get back a 20... after that , i watched all the other suckers come in and get equally surprised... and, the place is cowded, with tourists, and has no atmosphere at all ... avoid at all cots ...waste of time and money ..get drinks at the monaco hotel next door .. it is a little cheaper and has a better veiw with better atmosphere
