Beware this hotel's sleazy practices!

In early March, 2006, I booked 2 rooms at this hotel for a trip to Venice in late May, 2006. I used an internet booking agent and the terms stated: no charges on the credit card until the scheduled date of arrival, and no cancellation penalties if cancelled at least 3 days before the scheduled date of arrival. For a variety of reasons, my group decided to stay in a different hotel in Venice and I canceled the Hotel Lux reservations 6 days after the initial reservation. Despite the fact that the trip is more than 2 months away, the Hotel Lux has charged my card $320.00 which I am now forced to dispute with my credit card company. A very sleazy hotel indeed!
