Hotel Des Bains is very charming and quite romantic. The bedroom is very nice and the bathroom is spacious and luxurious. The A/C functioned well. There was quite a selection for breakfast including smoked salmon which was delicious. Dinner was also very good. It is the ultimate hotel for relaxation and a true getaway from St. Mark's area which is too crowded. Hotel Des Bains is very palacial with gorgeous chandeliers with a Belle Epoque decor. Our teenage boys really enjoyed the pool area. Next time we go, it will be for at least one week. Travelling with a tour did not afford us enough time to really enjoy this paradise in Lido. My son left his wallet by the pool area and was returned by a staff member! This is a rarity in Italy! Viva Venezia! Viva Hotel Des Bains! We shall return some day!

First time to Venice with so many choices for hotels. The Des Bain was a wonderful surprise! Warm friendly staff, genteel atmosphere, large, clean rooms with full amenities and a free shuttle to and from the Westin Europa made this one of our favorite homes on our tour of Europe. Also don't be in a hurry to go to Venice. Lido is a charming town with a real neighborhood feel. Good resturants and cafes' and friendly people everywhere. Enjoy!
