Venice is Hot and Packed in the Summer Time Visiting Venice during the end of July was unbearable. The heat was too much to handle and the amount of tourists there during that time was out of control. It seemed that every tour group around the world decided to visit at the same time. I stayed there 3 full days and wasn’t able to go in to see any of the main attractions. Every morning I would show up early and lines were already formed of over an hour long wait. With the heat it wasn’t worth it. We decided to spend our time shopping, on the water or visiting other places like Murano.
Bar Novo del Venexian we were looking for a nice place to have some wine after our meal. We found this place down a side street on our way from Rialto back to our hotel. there were two people behind the bar but the man seemed to be in charge. He was great to chat with and very helpful. We ordered two bottles of wine and some coffees. While we were chatting over the wine, he brought over some cheese to savour and later, some biscuits as well. It was our last night in venice and a great way to finish off. As there is no bar scene as such in Venice, It is great to have places like Bar Novo to stop off in and taste the great wines of the Veneto.
