Top Local Tips for Venice
Save time visiting the Campanile and Ducale's Palace Visit such attractions around 4-5pm, as queues are very very much shorter. If you visit at 5-6pm, there are absoultely no queues, believe it or not! Why waste precious time in the long queues when there are so much to do and see in pretty Venice?
best western Looks like a great hotel, very spacious and fancy. Nice quite location not far from St Marks Square. Have'nt checked prices but I'd imagine its quite reasonable.
Venice is hard to get in and out of with luggage It was difficult. We couldn't find a porter at St Marks Square where we got left off the water bus. WE went to a hotel to get one. It was 35Euros when we got him. The water taxi back to the train station was 75 euros. Getting from one track to the other up and down the stairs without an elevator was difficult as well.
