My mother and I, with several of our friends had planned a Spring Break trip to Venice and were very excited. I was mortified when I read several reviews on this website about the hotel we had already booked, Citta Di Milano. I was truly expecting the worst and we had seriously considered finding another place to stay based on several of the reviews. I am glad we didn't. When we got to the hotel the staff was friendly, offered to carry our bags up. Our room was large, had a very nice bathroom complete with shower sink, and toilet. All were very clean!! The breakfast was great and plentiful. It isn't a fancy 4 star hotel, but considering the little amount of time we spent in our room, it was perfect. Definietly would recommend for a budget conscious family or couple.

I looked this hotel up before going. The email pictures are not even close to what we found. We had to ask for help to find it. There was no courtyard with a fountain, just a dark alley way on one side. To find a fountain you had to go down a different street and around corner to find fountain. Upon entering the hotel, original website said there was a lift. No such luck. To get to our room, 3 flights of stairs and when we get there, all other rooms had a number, ours was a sign on the door that said no smoking and storage. Upon entering the room, to the left was suppose to be a bedroom. It had two mattresses that were harder than the floor. It was apparent the room had not even had a half hearted cleaning. There were cobwebs and spiders everywhere. There was one small light that was about 25watt. Only one outlets. The bathroom was a toilet and sink that had not been cleaned in who knows how long. Our room did have a shower, which after talking with some other hotel guests, I guess we were lucky. They had to share. To get to the shower we had to go through a room that was apparently storage and cleaning supplies, which meant that when they needed stuff, they were coming into our room whenever they wanted. The shower was gross and smelled. We tried plugging into the one outlet and when we unplugged the outlet starting coming out of the wally. If there was a room for breakfast as advertised, we couldnt find it. We immediately left and found another hotel, the Monte Carlo which was close by and was 4 star for not that much money. Overall, do not stay at this hotel.
