The Dei Dogi Boscolo Luxury Hotel. Just the name invokes a sense of the most lavish lifestyle. Calming sea breezes, the distant sound of the gondolier singing, the morning bell ringing from St. Mark's Square. On arrival by private boat to this luxurious hotel you walk through the calm private gardens, and into the main lobby, where marble floors meet marble walls reaching up to crystal chandeliers. After a brief conversation with a very friendly and expertly bilingual reception worker I was shown up to my room. I sat on my bed and awaited the night, the sleep, and the day to follow. At 2 o'clock, I awoke. After seeing water dripping from the ceiling near my bed i jumped up and phoned down to the reception, surprised that there were even people there at such a time i was greated by a gentlemen who didn't seem at all shocked by the reason of my call, and even quite calmly and politely said, 'oh yes, im very sorry about that ma'am someone will be right up'.
