Had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my partner a few summers ago. The hotel is tucked away (as is everything in Venice!) in an excellent location close to St. Marks square. Room, facilities and staff were all wonderful and the air conditioning was a god send in august. A great place that was a very reasonable price at the time (2 years ago) and fully recommended if you're going to Venice.

Didn't know what to expect when I found it, but Ca del Campo was a nice surprise. Tucked away and a little hard to find, the rooms were newly and tastefully redone. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all a wonderful experience. I'd definitely go back.

Top Local Tips for Venice

Water bus tickets Make sure that once you have validated your ticket, that you use it. For single tickets currently, this is within 60 minutes of purchase.

Getting around Venice and having a meal. Seeing the historical sites in Venice involves a lot of walking and going up and down steps. Take this into account if you are at all infirm. Plan your excursions carefully and take a good map, because getting lost is inevitable. The ordinary restaurants are quite expensive and may not be very good. There is usually a cover charge and we found the bread it 'covered' to be inedible on two occasions. Try and get a recommendation. Although Venice is a uniquely fascinating place worth almost any inconvenience to see at least once.

So Much To Do and See Venice is vast.... 3 days is not enough, just a taster for a longer stay next time
