A group of us took all the rooms at the Albergo Marin in Venice and were pleased with the location, the service was exceptional, clean rooms, and a very good and tasty breakfast included. My room was very nice, a single, with only bidet and sink and the bathroom facilities down the hall. I usually don't stay in a room without a full bathroom, but since we took all the rooms at the property, this was necessary. The bathroom down the hall had all the amenities you needed and was extremely clean. I will stay at this hotel again and have referred it to several of my friends that felt it was a great small hotel with location, service and cleanliness also. You won't be sorry for staying at this property, don't worry about the star rating. It is a great small hotel.

Top Local Tips for Venice

Great Restaurant Worth a visit to 'Alla Rivetta' for an evening meal. Staff very friendly and food excellent. The also accept debit/credit cards! Located close to Piazza San Marco you could easily miss it if you weren't looking out for it.

Venice Don't spend too long indoors - use every minute you can exploring.

Vaporettos Buy a ticket for the duration you are there - even from the airport for use on the buses into Venice. 15Euros for 24 hours and we almost lived on them during daylight hours. Excellent value for money and cover all the routes including the outer islands.
