Top Local Tips for Urbino

Staying in/near Urbino Even for culture vultures like us I would say that 2 days was more than enough to explore the delights of Urbino. However it is a lovely ancient town to stroll around in, to enjoy the narrow, winding streets and alleyways and the many restaurants and cafes not to mention the scrummy ice cream. We spent nine days here and found the surrounding area an utter delight to explore. Quiet roads, beautiful scenery and interesting old towns, castles, churches etc. and also within easy reach of the coast. We encountered very few tourists other than in Urbino itself. We flew into and out of Rimini airport which took us just under an hour to reach even in the rush hour.
