Restaurant near Hotel Piemontese in Turin, Italy You can have a good dinner, with many turin special dishes, in restaurant "Urbani", in via Saluzzo, 3, very close to the hotel. It takes only 5 minutes on foot, the restaurant is a classy place.

Things aren't always open in Italy Turin was quite a large city and hot. It was frustrating to make an effort to follow a guide book and eg explore the Quadrilatero area in search of a coffee and bite of something different. Everything was either shut, or closed for an annual holiday, including the Lavazza House in San Tommaso. Another day when we planned our itinerary around a Bateau Mouche trip on the Po River (we'd already paid for it on out Turin Tickets) - we were please we'd checked with reception because they'd axed half of their only 4 trips due to high water. When we walked miles to the departure point around 5pm - it turned out they'd axed the other two as well. Not satisfactory really.
