Top Local Tips for Taormina

Nice place if you can afford it Be warned, a sprite and a small beer at any pavement bar will set you back about 8.50 Euros. The history is nice with all the churches and mount etna grumbling away in the background but avoid if you are on any kind of budget.

romantic break dining is excellent

Bus & Rail Buses are the easiest way to get about although there are rail stations at Letonjani & Gardini Naxos but walking is not advisable to the faint hearted. Where ever you go the views are stunning but watch out for cars. Trips to Etna are excellent, as are Stromboli & Syracusa although we liked Messina on the train & bus under our own steam.
