Booked an ordinary room but was given a large room with sitting area and a superb view. Definitely a room with a view. Very convenient for all the sight seeing on the islands and in Stressa and around Lake Maggiore. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Top Local Tips for Stresa

Ferry pass Be sure and use the ferries to get around the lake and visit the charming sights. You can get a 1 day, 3 day or 7 day pass with unlimited use and just a small surcharge for hydrofoils.The ferries are easier to use than the private boats used by tour groups--much easier access and great for those in wheelchairs.

Isola Bella You just have to visit the palace and gardens on the island - they are just fantastic

Near by mountins can walk to cable car for Mount Montrone right in town of Stresa. Highly reccomend takening a car to see Monte Rosa. Only about 1 hour drive and easy to get to to see Very High alps peak. Along the wat see how people live in the little valley towns. In staff Take cable car or walk a trail to see some really nice peaks and look down on the valleys.
