Make sure you wear a mosquitoe repellent containing at least 50% deet, this is tropical strength Boots own brand is good, we had some on and were not bothered by mosquitoes, but some people said they had been bitten when sitting ouside at bars and bistoro's. island hopping Don't miss the Borromean Islands which can be reached by frequent ferry - Beautiful gardens, lots of places to eat. Isola Madre has less to offer restaurant wise but is worth a visit all the same. Tickets cover as many or as few islands as you like.
