Beautiful hotel Beautiful hotel but check what corporate events may be going on at the hotel during your stay and if the events will be in the shared public lobby and bar area. Isola Bella is not to be missed (the castle is absolutely remarkable) and the grounds and flowers fantastic.Isola Madre is beautiful (the grounds are the attraction) and the castle is nice but the castle at Isola Bella is more spectacular. Take the public ferry and visit all the little villages they are each quaint with characger. The cale car up the mountain, the Meterone is an absolute must. You can see the alps, the mountais, switzerland, and also down below and far off Milan. It is absolutely breathtaking. You get to breath clean fresh air and you feel you are amoung the clouds.

What to see and do! I found that there is more to see on Lake Maggiore than just the three islands. Explore with the convenience of the ferry to the charming little towns along the lake - there is quite a bit to see.
