Faded Glory
Before travelling to Italy I had read lots of reviews of the hotel and still didn't know what to expect - the reviews were so varied, the food and staff had both had particulrly bad reports. However, in my opinion the Staff and food were excellent but the structure let them down. Our room was small and not particularly luxurious the bathroom again small would have been fine except that on one day I was unable to get the shower to run until someone else turned there's off and another a little later in the morning there was no hot water left for my shower. Over all the things wrong with the hotel didn't add up to enough to spoil the holiday, but did disappoint. The obvious quality of the fittings were suffering from a few years of poor maintenance which showed in the carpets of the hall ways (holed and stained) and in the state of the jacuzzi pool (holes in the tiles and peeling paint on the bottom.), "faded glory" is the most apt phrase to describe this former gem of an hotel.

Amazing Place To Stay :]
I'm 14 Years Old, And Got Invited To Stay I This Hotel With My Friend And Her Family, At First I Wasn't Sure About What The Hotel Would Be Like, But I Decided I Would Go. When We Got Into Italy I Thought I Had Made The Wrong Choice, Seeing That Many Houses Didn't Seem Very Developed. Although When Arriving At The Hotel I Realised It Was Paradise! We Entered, Shocked At How Nice It Looked, My Jaw Dropped To The Ground! We Got Showed To Our Rooms By Some Very Helpful And Friendly Staff! The Rooms Were Amazing, Some Containing A Little Balcony So You Could Sit Outside. I Guess We Were Lucky As We Got One Overlooking The Pool So I Could See The Cute Italian Pool Boy Every Day ;] I Was Very Impressed With The Food And The Staff Were So Nice, By The Second Day It Felt Like They Were Family! By The Fourth Day I Got A Bit Homesick, And When Realising This, One Member Of Staff Said That I Could Talk To Her If I Needed To :]
This Helped Alot And Comforted Me In My Stay! Sitting On The Balcony A...Read more

What a disappointment!!!!
The first disappointment was when we pulled up and parked in an old garage and were told to walk over a VERY busy road and upto the hotel which looked very dated indeed. Upon arrival we had missed our lunch and were sent up a dinner. This included 2 slices of ham, 1 salami (that looked like old boot leather), 1 slice of cheese, mouldy butter and a hard cob with a scoop of sweetcorn. The following evening we went down to our meal where we were given a menu to select from. The menu's was thrown in our faces and were rushed to order and no basic manners from waiters were shown. The meal was a slice of beef/rabbit with 5 sprouts. Thats it! The day after i was struck down with food poisoning and had to call out a doctor costing 50 euros. The recpetion were very reluctant to call the doctor. The evening entertainment was diabolical. It consisted of an elderly italian man who pressed 1 key of a keyboard expecting us to believe he was playing this complicated itailan melody. The man even got u...Read more

Parco del Sole
Was reasonably impressed with the Hotel. Clean, good food, very friendly and efficient staff. Odd parts of the Hotel could do with a lick of paint such as balustrading.
However, sincerely lacking in entertainment in the evening. Oldish man playing the same Italian songs night after night. Therefore people tended to go elsewhere after the meal. If they put on different things during the evening people would stay and they would sell more drinks. Also, a Table Tennis Table or Pool table would have been good. The swimming pool is excellent.
Overall, good hotel, would visit again.

Grazie!
What a gem - I couldn't fault anything. Delightful hotel and surrounding gardens, lovely swimming pool with reasonably priced bar and snack-bar, all staff friendly and cheerful - nothing was too much trouble. Food is excellent with plenty of choice. It's a 20 min walk into main square of Sorrento, but local buses stop close by, and there is a courtesy bus several times a day from the hotel. Local buses and trains make for easy transport to Sorrento and further afield for all the delights of the Neapolitan Riviera. A real treat!
