Cesare Augusto Grand Hotel Sorrento

Stayed 2 weeks at hotel and it was terrible. Food was really bad, dining room was dirty. Glass wear was filthy, area around roof pool was full of bird droppings and papers. Would not go to that hotel again. Sorrenntto is such a beautiful place, but to have it spoiled by hotel, it's such a shame.

Excellent Hotel, minutes from the centre. Hotel staff friendly,whole hotel clean, cannot complain about anything with this hotel.

Apprehensive being in Centre of Sorrento and noise etc. but lovely to sit out on balcony overlooking small garden. Noise didn't bother us and once the patio doors were closed couldn't hear a thing. Exceptionally clean and cool and even the air conditiong was on in May at no extra charge. No mention was made of a mini bar on any sites but there was one and a safe in the room. Very convenient for bus, train and Piazzo Tasso Square. Food not exceptional but everything else perfect.

I stayed in the Cesare Augusto back in 1998, and have never forgotten my stay! Our room was perfect for my sister and myself, and my parents had the room next door. The views of the gardens from the balcony were so pretty. The perfect place to enjoy a glass of Asti Spumante! The staff were all so helpful, and very friendly. The barman took great delight in trying to help me with my Italian! Every night we enjoyed a well cooked, and delicious meal, and breakfast was perfect for our needs. I am just waiting for the chance to stay there again!
