Being first time travellers abroad we were apprehensive about our hotel but were very pleasantly surprised. The carlton International Hotel was first class with friendly staff, pool areas and hotel immaculately clean, food good and sufficient and would have no hesitation in reccommending this hotel to others.

Top Local Tips for Sorrento

positano Make sure you make the bus trip to a beautiful town set on the side of a cliff. Staying one night would be perfect as it would be lovely to see at night, great little bakery there has the best lemon tart.

Explore Even after visiting previously we are still finding new places, hidden away, where you can eat and drink very reasonably. And if you don't like your hotel but love Sorrento, try the pool bars etc at other hotels, you'll soon find one you like for your nextvisit.

Don't get ripped off by tour guides Take the train to Pompeii from Sorrento, it's onlt €2 and takes you straight there. Guides will charge you €50+ for this!
