Top Local Tips for Sorrento
Beaches Don't use the beach across the street, it's small and rocky. Head to the next town down the coast, Positano. Breathtaking drive (or ferry) and beautiful town.
Sorrento Stay out of Sorrento in St Agata. Very Italian, the people were very friendly and much cheaper than in Sorrento.

All the rooms vary, basement rooms which are dark and small with no views and bars on the windows.
The front rooms have great views but you are next to a very busy road which is noisy all night long the best room face a brickwall at the back but only because they are quiet and cool. Most rooms have a TV but only show Italian tv.
There is no air conditioning and not all rooms have fans.
Breakfast is virtually non exsistent it comprised a bread roll 2 slices of cheese and salami watery orange tea and coffee it was'nt worth getting up for.
We were in a party of 42 and nobody said they would return to this hotel.
