The booking was in the name of Oppenheimer/Kelsey.Unfortunately we were completely unhappy about our stay. Firstly it was extremely difficult to locate and despite many time around the city wall unless one was travelling anti-clockwise it was impossible to find, there were an array of Flags and the tinest hotel sign. At first we found the (female) staff
helpful and friendly. Our room was dark and in view of the alterations we were not permitted to use the balcony because of alterations to the hotel. We also felt that the window was somewhat insecure and could easily have been opened from outside. Our following dealings with a male member of staff was not helpful. We wished to use the Garage and were told we would have to find somewhere to park ourselves. Having pointed out that we were informed of the Valet parking somewhat reluctantly someone came to take away our car. I have to say that the price of parking was astronomical. The staff seemed uninterested in our visit and it was difficult to make any request because of this - no one seemed to be interested in our welfare. Finally, thankgoodness we were able to leave after two nights stay. Easy one would think - but having requested the return of our car we had over half an hour wait - not to mention the poor couple who had been waiting over an hour for their car to be returned and ours came first. When we enquired how long our car would take to be returned we were shown a key and asked "is this your key". Our biggest complaint is that the staff (excluding female) were completely disinterested and very off hand ( answering the telephone and speaking to other members of staff ) whilst we were actually being dealt with. We would under no circumstances stay at this hotel again. The Jolly Hotel in Pisa was much more organised and helpful. It was conveniently situated near the station which we required. The Resturant staff were both helpful and curtious and our room though small was acceptable but again we would not wish to use a Jolly hotel.
