Definitely not a 4*
The hotel is basically good and clean but in our opinion more akin to a 2 star hotel. Our smallish rooms were immediately next to the street and for most of the night we were awoken by passing buses, traffic and pedestrians. The air conditioning was blowing hot air when cold was selected and the toilet seat was the thinnest plastic imaginable - threatening to trap the skin of your thigh at any minute when it collapsed. And the ice in the minibar was one solid chunk that hadn't been changed for months. Service at reception was efficient although not particularly friendly - we asked for extra pillows and they were delivered promptly but when we asked how long it would take to drive to Bologna we were told three hours although it actually took us just over 1hr 45 minutes. It would be wrong to condemn this hotel because it offers reasonable value for money, parking and easy access to the city and campo where we enjoyed an excellent meal - but to claim it as a 4* hotel belies reality.
