Top Local Tips for Cefalu

Mount Etna Etna is a couple of hours drive from Cefalu. It is an expensive trip, but quite an amazing experience.The top of the volcano is 3000ft high and there is snow at the top. It is absolutely freezing, so if you are thinking of doing this as a day trip, take appropriate clothing and footwear to ensure you can enjoy your time at the top.

Hire car 1. Hire a car and drive right round Mt. Etna, long day but if clear weather, is the most spectacular journey. 2. Hire on internet before arrival considerably cheaper than at resort.

August is very hot. I wouldn't go to Sicily in August with very young Children it really is extremely hot.
