Top Local Tips for Olbia

October Shutdown The hotel and a lot of this part of the island seems to close for the winter after the UK half term break. So if you do go then be prepared to make your own entertainment. Most of the "tourist" restaraunts are already closed so you will need to use the same places as the locals. This is great but you will need to know how to decipher an Italian menu.

Avice to visitors Make sure you get a good price - this is NOT a 5-star hotel in its amenities and service - maybe 3 or 4. Hire a car unless you want to be tied to the hotel's rather average food. Take mosquito cream and room spray. Internet access is slow and expensive.
