We have stayed at this Hotel a number of times and have always found the owners and staff to be very helpful. The Hotel is very clean and the service is second to none.

Everything about this hotel was superb. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and well equiped and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with the best coffee we tasted in Sardinia.

We had a wonderful 8 day stay here. The hotel is spotless, Antonella and the team lovely, great breakfast and really good value for money. Alghero is a fantastic town, very good restaurants, friendly people. If you hire a car you can then visit lots of places in the North with the most beautiful beaches.

A wonderful hotel. Gorgeous decor, beautiful rooms, super breakfast (continental). No complaints at all. The whole experience was excellent. Hotel located in a great location, 5/10 minutes walk to the town. We will most certainly be back.

We stayed at Angedras for one night at the end of our holiday, booked through Ryanair's website. It was such good value for money and probably the nicest 3 star I've ever styed in. Don't get put off by 'continental breakfast', there's a huge spread, and the breakfast room is on the rooftop terrace.
The room was spotless, there were loads of fluffy towels, the furniture was nice, the airconditioning worked (and had the most complicated remote ever) and the lobby was lovely. We couldn't actually find a fault with the place. And it's staffed by the friendliest people ever, who seem to be over-joyed to help you with anything.
And the best part is, for anyone waiting for that 6 pm Ryanair flight back to Blighty, there is a loo/changing room next to the left luggage room so that you can go swimming/lay in the sun/get really sweaty from wandering around in blistering heat and still have the use of hotel facilities to get changed in.
I highly recommend this hotel and we'll definitely be staying there again.
And I recommend the King's Pub on the ramparts, next to the not-recommended Muraglia restaurant. Same gorgeous view, loads of tables, ok prices and huge selection of drinks.

We stayed in Angedras hotel for a week (19th-26th of July). We have travelled a lot, and honestly nowhere else have the people, food and the athmosphere been so great. Forget Spain, Greece etc., here you'll really enjoy a relaxed holiday!
Special thanks belong to the hotel staff: Antonella and Barbara, you are the sunshine of the Angedras hotel! Thank you for your hospitality, friendliness and teaching us italian. When we come back to Alghero, we'll come to Angedras because of you.
Also the rooms were perfect; clean, neat and air-conditioning worked perfectly. The cleaning-ladies really did their job wonderfully! Plus the hotel is really within a walking distance from the beautiful old town of Alghero.

We had a great time at the Angedras. We stayed there for a week at the beginnning of July. The room was spotless and cleaned on a daily basis, and also air-conditioned which was essential.
It was a great walk into town in the evening along the coast and the market stalls. And the choice of places to eat in the old town was fairly big.
If you have a car it's worth driving a little further on past Lido Beach till you get to Maria Pia beach. There you can hire a beach bed complete with table for only seven euros a day.
The staff at the hotel are its real selling point. They are helpful and friendly whatever the time of day. Antonella was charming. It's worth hiring a car to get to some great beaches, we tried one along the coastal road on the way back from Bosa which was fab!!!!!!
We can't wait to go back and revisit the hotel.

Had a fantastic time in this lovely hotel. When we forgot our camera bag which had only sentimental value to us, they posted it back! Very friendly staff and management. Really recommended! Thanks for a great time.

Based on the good reviews on your Web site, we decided to stay at the Angedras hotel for our last night in Alghero. Our room and bathroom were spacious and very clean and the reception staff was very nice. I would definitely recommend this property for a short break. It is about 20-minute walk to the old town. In our opinion, the best restaurants in Alghero are Il Pavone, Al Tuguri and La Lepanto

Does what it says on the tin bascially! After reading the reviews on this site, I decided to stay here for my 1 night stay in Sardinia and was not disappointed in the slight. Although simply furnished, the rooms are great, and have a nice balconies to chill out on after a hard day at the beach. Staff are excellent and very very helpful, they really can't be faulted at all, always putting the customer first.
Despite the fact that is is about a 20 minute walk from the old town, the walk is so pleasant that it doesn't even matter as you stroll along the sea front. Definately recommend this hotel if you're looking for basic, immaculatly clean rooms and very friendly staff.
Just a tip as well, don't bother getting a taxi from the airport, it costs 25 euros, instead get a bus ticket from the tabac in the airport (57 cents) and the bus drops you about a 7 minute walk from the hotel, it's very easy to find.

Hotel Angedras is a lovely, clean, quiet hotel. The staff are most helpful and were quite happy to provide warm milk for our daughter without charge.
The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the old town and the beach is a further 20 minutes. You can however catch the bus ( Service AO to the beach ). Tickets must be bought in advance from the Tabacchi and cost 56 cents a one-way ticket
( June 2004 ). Taxi from the airport is 25 euros.
Try the Lanterna restaurant, five minutes walk from the hotel. Friendly service and good food. The Lepanto in town looks pretty grotty from the outside but is well used by the locals and the food is probably the best we had during our week's stay.
The boat trip from the port to Neptune caves is a good half day excursion. This costs 11 euros but be aware that this does not include 10 euros entrance to the caves.

Top Local Tips for Alghero
February trip As with many seaside towns, some of the places were closed for the winter season. This included a number of restaurants and bars, although excursions to Neptune's Grotto still available. Lovely narrow cobbled streets to wander around in the Old Town. If you are planning on staying in and around the town, then hire bicycles - available near the port - traffic is bike friendly. If you want to hire any type of motorised scooter/moped then you must have al driver's licence (new law).
NEPTUNE CAVE VISIT THE NEPTUNE CAVES - FANTASTIC TOUR OF THE STALAGTITES ETC. VISIT BY BOAT IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THE 1600 STEPS THERE AND BACK.
Paco's restaurant Try Paco's on one of the squares with a round tower at the edge of the old town> Not easy to spot - look for the yellow/orange awning. Family run, it has very good food and wine at reasonable prices. If you like fish/shellfish, try the grilled seafood plate for two - as long as you are OK with squid being one of the seafoods - absolutely superb with a botle of white Vermentino.
