Excellent value for money. Well located to Metro and access to Rome sights. Clean and well presented air conditioned room with balcony. Good view over garden. Pleasant, friendly, helpfull staff. Good breakfast and breakfast room. Only criticism - rubbish restaurant but who wants to eat at their hotel all the time anyway?
Where do I start!

My husband and myself have just returned from a weeks holiday in Italy first staying in Florence in a 3 star hotel which was wonderful. Then going by Train down to Rome for the last 4 days of our holiday. We arrrived at the Waldorf very tired only to have to wait on the chap on the Reception desk to finish a phone call which took him just short of 10 minutes. We were then given the key to our 'comfort' room. The staircase and hallway in this hotel is awful, gruby and leaving a lot to be disired. We got into the room and the only thing I can say in this rooms favour was that the bed was clean. It had horrible dark green fabric on the walls, no bed side lamps, just one supposed chandelier which had low voltage bulbs (the ones that were working)with the result of the light and the dark wallpaper you could not see much. The bathroom was no better. The door which opened inwards took up most of the bathroom. The handbasin was cracked. The shower had half a shower cabinet arround it and in the inside of that was a shower curtain. We had to endure an awful smell from the drains. My husband had to put toilet paper over it every day to try and take away the smell. The night before we left we enquired about a taxi to the Airport and was told it would be 60 euros. We toyed with the idea of going partly by train but decided that we would bite the bullet and pay the 60 euros which turned out to be 35 euros. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. To far out of the scheme of things and definitely not up to standard.

A party of 10 of us arrived at 10 o'clock on a Saturday evening to find that their was no record of our bookings (which were later confirmed by "superbreak" as having been made with the hotel the previous August). The hotel managed to put us up in some temporary rooms by splitting us up until the following day. Although all the rooms were clean, I quickly discovered why there was no need for the missing shower doors as the water pressure was not sufficient to merit the need for them. What was also unnerving was a toilet not fixed to the floor. The hotel was also much further from the city centre than the web site led us to believe, resulting in a lengthy subway trip each day. Anyone intending to book with the hotel should firstly check the actual distances and give the room a thorough check before accepting it.
Smallest room I have ever seen

Smallest double bed I've ever seen too but anything bigger wouldn't fit in that tiny little room. Bit miserable about how often they turned the heating on too, so a little chilly. That said it was spotlessly clean, serviced daily, staff were excellent, breakfast very good and the hotel is in a great location - close to the metro, handy to local shops and restaurants (it is nice to be able to have a coffee and a Panini with the locals rather than with only tourists - cheaper too)and well priced.

Have just returned from a four day stay at this hotel and would say that the rooms were very comfortable, although quite small and cleaned every day. The hotel is situated only a 5 minute walk from the metro station, although when we arrived we did not know in which direction to walk, but if you head towards the bus station there is a street facing it with a resturant at the corner go down there and turn first left and the hotel is there. [wish someone had told us this). also if you are flying into Ciampino airport a bus will take you from the airport to Anagnina metro for one euro and get the metro to Cornelia metro station and follow directions above. We were not within walking distance of all the sights of rome, but the metro takes you to all the places and are very frequent. [ps. the metro lines close at 11.30pm] not so good if like us our flight was late in getting in. all in all we would recommend this hotel.

The journey from Ciampino airport was a nightmare. we followed directions, which were spot on, the bus from the airport to Anagnina was horrendous, no queue, just pushing and shoving to get on the bus, we had to stand to the metro stop and I was 7 months pregnant at the time!! From Anagnina to Cornelia is 21 metro stops!!! But it was an experience. My advice is to get the hotel to book you a taxi to go back to the airport. The staff were really nice and were happy to do this for us and if you book it through the hotel, it's a fixed price so you won't get ripped off.
