Ham and cheese or cheese and ham! Fruit juice very strong... coffee was just milk from the machine. All in all, ok but not really recommended. Good position to get the tram, bus or train... useful to get away from a poor area.
Nice lobby, but not a good value

The lobby of the Villa Rosa is the best feature, but the rooms are incredibly tiny and the air conditioning does not work well. Showers are small and you will be hard pressed to not be squeezed between the tiles while showering.
The staff at the front desk is nice and helpful, but the cleaning staff may leave something to be desired, since I accidentally left a case with my music CD's in the room, and the next day when I called the hotel, they said they were gone and there was nothing that could be done about it.
There is a small but nice bar downstairs in the lobby, but no one ever stands behind it, so it seems useless. No payphones work, and there is no computer access, but there is an internet cafe down the street a block or so away by Trastevere Station.
The rooms were sanitary and clean, and the hotel environment was safe and quiet, no complaints. Limited parking available.

Travelling on buses try to avoid traveling on buses because buying a bus ticket can be a nightmare. Opt for the tram when you can.
What to do... Unless you are REALLY into walking around a city for five days, we truly felt that you only need 3 to see the best stuff in Rome. At the Colosseum, if you walk around near the entrance there are people giving tours on a regular basis, and for 25 euro per person, it inludes entrance to the Colosseum (skipping the line), a tour inside the Colosseum, and a second tour of the Palatine, which was really great. The same goes for the Vatican, and the tour really helps to focus on the best parts, since it's really a sensory overload in the Vatican Museum. The best restaurants seem to be near the American Embassy, though we didn't have a chance to try them since we found it on the last day.
