Top Local Tips for Rome

Trains and Taxis You can take the train from leonardo da vinci airport to the Termini train station for €22. The Termini is the central train station for Metro. The Metro had two main lines, the Red and the Blue line. A daily ticket on the Metro is €4. You can hop on and off as often as you like. The only thing is that not all stops are disabled or buggy friendly. A lot of steps to contend with. The Taxi driver really try to extract as much money as possible from tourist. If you really do need to use a taxi, ask the hotel staff roughly how much it should cost and agree a price with the taxi driver BEFORE sitting into the taxi. There really is no need for a taxi, as the underground is so reliable.

Walking around the streets of Rome get a good city guide map, plan 5/6 sights a day, take comfortable walking boots and be prepared to walk a lot to see it all.
