This was the worst hotel I have every stayed in. The staff were rude, there was toilet matter coming up through the sink in the shower, no hot water and we were moved 3 times in two days through different rabbit holes that I'm sure were not apart of the original hotel we booked. When you read other reviews of a clean, great hotel please be aware that you may have booked this but this may not be what you get...... and they don't have a problem telling you that you have to move to another room. They would also not give us a refund so we could stay somewhere else. Please please do not book this..... especially if you have kids, it's really no place for children.

Well... a similar thing happened to us when we arrived. I booked this hotel 2 months in advance. I reconfirmed 1 months prior and reconfirmed again 2 weeks prior as we were leaving Australia to go elsewhere first. When we arrived there was no room for us at the hotel (VERY UNHAPPY) so they put us up at some other hotel - the only reason i didn't crack a sad at the man was because the other hotel was very nice. The man said to pack up the next morning and come back to Viennese and we could stay there that night - wasn't too pleased about getting moved but ok fair enough. We packed up, went to Viennese only to be taken to another hotel... Viennese 2 which is right near the one we had stayed at the night before. The hotel manager walked with us to the hall way of the other hotel, handed our passports to some guy and said "go with him." We had no idea who this man was. I had to ask lots of questions like "are you the manager at the new hotel?" "when do we get our passports back?" etc.. because nothing was explained. This man said to collect the passports off him in the morning but the other guy said no, get them off him. Anyway, we managed to find them at the first Viennese that we never stayed at... It was an absolute stuff up. I was pissed off that after 3 points on contact, one just 2 weeks prior, that we never stayed where we paid to stay.. I just don't get how hard it can be to write it down in a book and look at it and see we were booked there. If someone wanders off the street to stay there, you say "i'm sorry - it is full here, HOWEVER, you can stay at Viennese 2" - put them elsewhere - not the people who have taken the time to book.
It was a nice hotel but they suck at getting it right.

Do not stay at the Viennese

We booked 2 months in advance and confirmed and re-confirmed. when we arrived they had no room for us even though we were in their reservation book and I showed them our e-mails confirming. They offered to get us a room in another hotel within 2 hours. We were so angry we went and got our own room elsewhere. When we returned to the Viennese to get our luggage and politely explained we had got ourselves another hotel she was angry with us and threatened to debit my credit card for a reservation she had made for us with another hotel. I had to phone my bank in England and cancel my credit card so she couldn't debit it. The place looked dark and dingy and we found another hotel for the same price which was so much better. A very unprofessional hotel.
