Overpriced, Overrated and unhelpful staff!

This is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and believe me there is some stiff competition! The rooms were inadequate - Showers were cold and several rooms just had a whole in the floor rather than a cubicle. The breakfast was laughable and an insult to all Italian food. Staff have a very poor level of English and When we arrived we were unable to secure some of the windows and a picture fell onto one of our party during the night! Worst of all the hotel charged us for this "damage" - staff had claimed they were unable to understand this when we had reported it on! The location is ok and good for public transport but quite a long walk from the centre. I took a party of 40 students and was horrified - especially when I discovered how much it costs per night! Under no circumstances accept this hotel as your accommodation in Rome - there are alternatives!

See your hotel room before committing! Like most expensive cities, the cost of the hotel room does not alway guarantee the comfort. We confirmed a reservation at a hotel, but it was so terrible that we stayed only one night. We spent about an hour the next day going door to door. Well worth it. Most places that had availability were willing to drop their prices if we agreed to pay in cash or all up front. We saw the room before committing. We got a place MUCH better than our original hotel for the same price. I suppose this could be risky, but it worked out great for us.
