Rooms are basic but good value easy to find, nice and central. But above all QUIET. Lift as well.

Top Local Tips for Rome

Tour around the City! As soon as possible get a ticket for the tour buses, the ones that you can Hop on and Off!! These are execellent value, though at first they may seem dear, you can have two days for about 22 euros each and travel around all day its so easy!!! They are all open topped, so travel round once and on the next time round get off and see the sights!

Guided tour of the Vatican City. TOURIST TRAP! DONT GET A GUIDED TOUR FROM THE PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE VATICAN!!!! We went on a guided tour of the Colleseum which was great, walked past all the queues, and very informative!!! then we decided to go with the same company to the Vatican CitY!!!! It cost us 45 EUROS each, the guide was a kid! Then we found out that it only costa 14 EUROS to get in and you can hire headphones to explain everything to you for the bargin price of just 6 EUROS = 40 EUROS FOR TWO PEOPLE!!!! Instead of 90 euros, we were slightly p##sed off as you can imagine!

Set Fee for Taxi Airport Transfer Now, Taxis have to charge a set fee for trips to the city centre from the airports. Euro 30 from Ciampino, and Euro 40 from Fiumicino airports to the historic city centre.
