The hotel was extremely clean and all of the staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. The only minus was the bar on the corner which was extremely noisy - buy earplugs if you fancy an early night!

The room we had was very clean and there was a hairdryer in the shower room. The airconditioning was efficient and the room itself was quiet although it was at the back of the building overlooking a courtyard. Rooms at the front of the building may experience some noise as there is a bar adjacent to the hotel.
Breakfasts were typically continental but more than adequate with a choice of fruit juices and cereals as well as croissants and bread rolls. Jam, marmalade butter and cheese were freely available and there was plenty of tea, coffee drinking chocolate.
The location was within five minutes walk of Termini station and because of the ready availability of inexpensive public transport we were able to reach all parts of the city quickly and cheaply.
The only mild criticism we could make ( and that would be very mild ) would be the towels which although large enough felt more like tea towels than bath towels. We had known of this from other reviews and so had taken our own towels and in fact on trying the hotel towels we found that they were surprisingly fit for purpose.
This is the best two star hotel we have stayed in and it equalled some three star. Would not stay anywhere else in Rome if there was a room available at the Stella
