Bad Choice
I went here in October with my school to play hockey. When we arrived it seemed as if the hotel was a dump but as the week progressed it kind of got better. The rooms are very small, no offense to the owners, but this hotel isn't a 3*. I would say a 2*.

Find another hotel...as fast as you can!
Rome was beautiful, Hotel Siracusa was definitely NOT!!! Dirt, smell, noise and despite demanding and getting a room change we found more dirt, smell and noise - multiple hairs in tub and sink, dirt and grime on counter, floors, stains on walls, stains on bedspread, headboard, air-conditioning not working and really needed and shutters broken. A three-star rating is a joke and Sunquest should never have recommended this place. Don't let anyone make you stay there!

Horrid!
I accompanied a large group of high school students to Rome in appreciation of its great history. The tour company, in order to make the trip more affordable, chose to stay at the Siracusa. Having traveled frequently Europe, China and Cambodia, I thought I was adequately prepared for our accomodations in Rome. When we arrived at the hotel, the Siracuse seemed very European, and downright cute. However, I was shocked once settled in my closet of a room. First of all, it was very dirty, and we found several dead bugs within the sheets. We attempted to bring this to the attention of the staff, but they were entirely uninterested. In fact, the staff consisted only of a couple adolesence-types who kept their heads buried in magazines when not oogling the girls. Because they spoke limited English, they commonly gave us keys to other people's rooms, and seemed bothered to have to find the right one when challenged. We endured 5 nights of loud kids chasing each other up and down the halls. The...Read more

Dissapointing
Very small rooms, and we had 4 people per room, which made it even smaller. No shower curtain, cockroaches in the bathroom, and over all filth. The breakfast had limited variety, the bread was stale, and the milk was warm. On top of all this, the staff is very unfriendly!

Hotel Siracusa one of Rome's worst hotels! Don't book it!
We stayed in this hotel which was booked by our travel agency. I am not sure I could tell you how bad this place is. Let's say that you can live with extra-small rooms and impossibly smaller showers... But the rudeness of the front desk and staff has no parallel! Watch out! this people will charge you for damages you didn't do! They charged my group 249 euro for a hole in one of the window curtains that we didn't do but got blamed for. Even the maids treat you like dirt under the eye of the hotel manager and her tacit permission... Please, please, please! Don't fall in this trap... it is conveniently located right in front of the train station but not worth the nightmare....
