I have stayed at this wonderful hotel with my wife for 3 days for my 10th anniversary. I have found it very quiet and very romantic. The personnel is friendly and very helpful. They even prepared champagne in our room when they found out that we were there for our anniversary. We travel a lot and this is my first choice in Rome. They even offer free internet in the lobby and wireless in the room and on the terrace. We recommend it to everyone.

What not to miss Villa Borghese Gallery - wonderful - and only 10 minute walk from the hotel. Also do an open top bus for the sights - hop on and off where you like - with information. Fantastic!
Visit the various Piazzas at night Get a good map with a good description and discover the old city by foot. If you dont stay at the Plaza Hotel, visit it for its historical decorations. Its actualy the Birthplace of the European Union.
