From the complimentary pick up at the airport to the gracious breakfasts in the morning, we found the staff extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. Very convenient to the Metro and train station, but the surrounding neighborhood was a little rough. We would defintely stay again.

I'm Italian, I stayed at this hotel for working reasons, only a night.T he hotel would be nice, but the reception was awful: a guy named Stefano pretended to register me before showing the room, asked me to sign a white visa bill and I refused, then showed my room which was on the ground floor, very large but without any light, the windows where closed and there was a gate in front of them so it was impossible to open them. I had to wait until that Stefano stopped talking on the telephone with his wife/friend, then was able to obtain a different room. When asked if a rather famous restaurant was nearby, this guy answered he didn't know the restaurant, then I discovered the restaurant was only 20 metres from the hotel. An awful experience at not very nice price. Avoid it, if you can.

Good location. Had family quad room. Good size. Near Terminal so easy access to metro etc. Clean and helpful staff.

Top Local Tips for Rome

Take a tour bus Not really one for organised tours , we decided to book the Rome Iluminated Tour which is available on Expedia by the Appian Line. Money well spent. Take the tour early in your stay, you'll see all the mainsights, be able to get off the coach and wander around a couple of them and get some bearings for where you want to wander off on your own, later in the trip. Get up early to visit the main sights, its worth getting to the Vatican and St. Peters early, before 9am, you'll avoid the crowds and queues and get the best pictures. The queue for the Sistene chapel is enormus so its a trade off between getting to one early and queuing for the other. Same for the Colloseum, get tickets from the Palatine Gardens to miss the queue and watch out for the Gladitors who will charge you 20euros to take a couple of pictures with them with your own camera. Flat shoes are a must, there are cobbles everywhere. Take an umbrella just in case, you will get harassed ALL the time if it rains.

shop around try more than one site for hotel bookings i had just booked with hotels .com for 115eu and discovered the same hotel room105eu on another site .but would have been 180eu if iwaited till I got to rome to book.

Book as much on line before you go as possible!!!!! I had read many place that the line ups for attraction in Rome, and Italy in general were huge. This proved to be very true, every place we went there were hundreds, if not thousands, of tourist standing in line, I have honestly never seen anything like it before. I took a chance and booked everything I could online before we left. We did not stand in a single line because of this, it was great. I booked with Viator, and ticketitaly.com, and everything was correct, and we never had an issue with anything. If you are planning a trip to Rome I would highly recommend doing this.
