Read some of the reviews and was a little worried. Should not have been, can not fault the hotel. Service at reception was good, booked in and in our room within 20 minutes. Rooms are clean and big. We also had a balcony which was nice to sit out on and relax. A good choice at breakfast from Bacon and egg to all the continental stuff. Very clean hotel and close to the tram / bus stops.We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Totally deceptive advertising - the room resembled an abandoned office block - dirty walls and bathroom, cheap laminate wood everywhere, horrible old carpets and staff with a very bad attitude - STAY AWAY!!!

What a brilliant hotel, one of the best I've stayed in for a long time. Room was very clean, very modern and very comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and well presented. The location is brilliant, close to all attractions and great eating places. If I had to make any complaint it would be that the eggs and bacon are not worth eating, they're not kept warm and very salty, but the croissants well and truely make up for this oversight. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, in fact you would be missing out if you didn't stay here.

The Grim Ripa :-((( My opinions...Don't go to this hotel, please, do yourselves a favour. This is not a boutique hotel. It's dirty, very unfriendly and MANY of the rooms are no better than a simple motorway motel. You WILL NOT, on average, get a room as it appears on the brochure - it's a trade descriptions disgrace! Check out Hotel S. Anselmo and sister hotels - they're ace.

The website is so deceiving, the rooms are not as nice as they look on website the staff are quite helpful the breakfast is ok but I have had better, it is a boring hotel apart from the person in the bar who was very nice, it certainly does not look like a 4 star hotel would not recommend it for students the hotels in the city r better the location was nice in the area of Trastevere the restaurants r k as well.

Our family (2 adults and 2 boys) stayed there twice this month. Each time we were warmly greeted and treated really well. We enjoyed the concept and the ambience of this hotel and of the area it's located in. We stayed in two different suites of similar quality - beautiful/funky design design (although perhaps a little "used" around the edges). Found the staff great and the breakfasts excellent. Prices were very reasonable. Rooms warm and very clean.

What a disappointment this hotel turned out to be...4 stars...I dont think so, more like a 2. First impressions were very good. Lovely contemporary trendy spacious room (Deluxe) however it was the smaller details that let the Ripa down. For instance, the mini bar was NEVER stocked up in our 4 night stay. There was no room service menu, having being told it was not possible to have one?!? Mites were in the room swarming around sweet things such as drinks and food. But worst of as, we had no hot water for 2 days...and were told 'It can't be fixed today' and 'These things happen!' Upon complaining, we were brushed off. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our room had exposed wires leaking plumbing and it was situated near the stairs so all you heard were people all night long and the disco downstairs (never again would I stay there)
Ripa Rip Off

Our room (along with many others) DID NOT resemble any of the pictures on the various websites. I have stayed in nicer youth hostels!! Wallpaper hanging off, damp, broken tiles, exposed wires. If you want to really rough it - stay here and feel really ripped off. Worst still - the management did not care at all!!! STAY AWAY!!!

All I can really say is that when my family and I stayed at this hotel, our room was broken into and a number of things were stolen. It was clearly an inside job, however the hotel refused to acknowledge a problem. I would stay away from them.
