Top Local Tips for Rome

Subway Use the subway to get around. It's 1 euro for 50 minutes unlimited travel. 4 euro for unlimited travel until midnight of that day. I saw more on my last day, like the circus maximus and pirimde by subway. Walking is good for the likes of the Trevi fountain, spanish steps etc. My tip, get the subway for 1 euro to Colessium, then walk across to the Roman forum, head for the pantheon after this taking in Vittotio Emanuele on the way. The pantheon, Trevi fountain and spanish steps can all be seen in this area. Allow around an hour for walking time between all three !! You could do all this in about three to four hours. Finish at either Trevi fountain or Spanish steps, Barberini and Spagma subway station are close to these. Both are two to three stops from Termini. Ps: Get a map of subway and sights.

Live by the Spanish Steps When booking your hotel, make sure you are close to the Spanish Steps because in any direction you go from the Spanish Steps, you will hit the attractions.
