The rooms were rather large, but the furniture of the rooms was definitely not appropriate for four stars.
During our stay, the furniture was removed in other rooms and assumingly new was installed.
The bar men were a little bit strange sometimes.
We ordered something and got the reply 'it is out', but 5 minutes later other guests will get it ...
The bus connection to the city was really good, only 10 minutes to St.Peter.
The connection to the airport was more complicated, because 500 meters in between the metro and the bus have to be done on foot. Totally it was about 1 hour to the airport. On the last day we ordered a taxi to the airport at the reception.
But no normal taxi was appering, but some guy with an enormous price, about 80 EUR. This was not pleasent at all.
The reception did not warn us about total closing of the airport because of the EU summit, even when we were ordering a taxi to the airport.

Top Local Tips for Rome
Ostia Antiqua If you have more than 5 days to spend, consider visiting Ostia Antiqua. That's a ancient city next to the harbour used to be a loooooong time ago. !!!Go by train!!!
Getting Around Rome The busses in Rome are amazing - they go pretty much everywhere and are fairly easy to figure out. At each bus stop there are signs saying which busses stop there - and where those busses go. The busses run frequently - except on Sundays when there are fewer routes and longer waits. If you're a walker - from the Vittorio Emanuelle II monument (often called the typewriter or the wedding cake) you can easily take in Ancient Rome - the Imperial Fora, Colliseum, Palatine Hill are all within close range. If you like famous art and artists - remember - virtually every church in Rome has something worth seeing in it - treasures by Bernini, Pinturicchio, Rafael, Caravaggio and others are literally everywhere!! For a decent, inexpensive restaurant I highly recommend La Locanda di Templo - which is just off Via del Corso on one of the alleyways leading to the Pantheon. Great "menu" - which includes a first and second course for 12 Euros - great food, great price - great service.
