I will say that this was my third trip back to the Hotel Parlamento, and it was fabulous. nThe construction has finished and everything was very beautiful. The Chini family was so very kind to us. My mother had gotten sick on our overseas flight,Tiziano and the guys made sure she was well taken care of whether it was the ice she needed,a cup of Tea,they did it with such graciousness and kindness.I consider them part of my family now after this las trip. The Hotel Parlamento is what is goood in Rome. A nice respite from the big city of Rome. Like I have said before a charming hotel with 5 star quality at 2 star prices. If you like charming, quaint, friendly, and yes clean then this is the place for you. But if you want stuffy cold 5 star hotel then you need to find another place. I will be returning again soon, and I will be staying here again. So if you consider them tell them that I sent you(karen from new Orleans)This hotel is as enchanting as Rome. I hope your stay is as nice as mine have been.

I heard wonderful things about the Parlamento but was kind of disappointed. Upon arrival we had to walk through a construction zone and carry our bags up a couple flights of stairs... with no assistance from the front desk staff. The room was dingy, with old wallpaper and bedding and you cant be the sound of power drills from downstairs upon you arrival! The bathroom was tiny, even by European standards. Upon booking the room we were told it included AC, but the front desk man said it was "broken", later to find out its just too loud and we really could use it. Upon check out once again no assitance down the stairs, even though they could clearly see our struggle. If I have one nice thing to say it is that the hotel is convenient, right off the Corso and close to Trevi and the Spanish Steps, but I would have walked 10 miles to get to those things and not be in such a hole.

One could now ask for a better, more convenient location or a friendlier, more accommodating staff. While the rooms are small, the rooftop terrace provides a wonderful view, fresh air and it is the perfect place to relax with wine in the evening. The family who runs will take very good care of you. Another big plus is the value. I don't think you could find a better place for the money. I hope to return soon.

I have stayed at the Hotel Parlamento twice now, and will be returning in 2-3 years. The Chini family is always so accommodating and polite. They will set up everything for you and always with a smile and graciousness. I love how they always ask where you are going to make sure it is an ok spot, almost like a protectiveness, and when there are two women traveling, that is a plus. I love the little breakfast room (sitting area),and the breathtaking balconies. I can even put up with the small showers in some of the rooms(at least the water is always hot),because lets face it when in Rome who wants to spend all their time in the room. I look forward to returning to Roma in a couple of years, it will be like I am returning home to my special friends. So if you are looking for a charming hotel with wonderful people try the Hotel Parlamento out, just tell them the lady from New Orleans sent you. Ciao!
