Top Local Tips for Rome

Local Restaurants There were good local restaurants to walk to without having to take a taxi. We found this to be very important after walking around the City all day. Ask at Reception - they're very helpful.

Tour Guide We booked a Rome in a Day tour through myromatours.com and had a great time. Our guide was Rachel Potts. She hit all of the highlights and made it fun and interesting for all of us (including our children - ages 15, 13 & 10). Would definitely recommend it!

Horse Carriage round Rome These are expensive and no circumstances go on one until you have agreed with the driver your exact route and the time taken with stops to look at the various sights. We were basically ripped off as I failed to make sure exactly what I was getting.
