After reading some of the previous reviews I was extremely worried about taking 54 higher education students to this accommodation. However, on arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, the guest rooms, the breakfast and the level of customer service at the hotel. Thought the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with most speaking very good English. The hotel was in an ideal location for sightseeing and yet far enough away from the train station to ensure a good level of safety & security. I have no real complaints at all. Thought this hotel was ideal for large groups . Yes it was a noisy hotel as there were so many groups staying but what do you expect? Good VFM
Meh!

Having read the reviews of this Hotel I was, to say the least, a little concerned about going. However, we found the Noto to be more than acceptable. The Staff, contrary to most of the remarks, could not have been more helpful or friendly. The Reception and Foyer areas are quite tastefully decorated, and there is a large Breakfast Room. Our room was on the small side, but nevertheless served its purpose: somewhere to sleep whilst seeing the sights of this glorious city!

When our group of 150 people arrived at the hotel Noto we were informed that they did not have enough rooms to cater for us all, even though the we had booked them 3-4 months previously! After waiting around in the (rather attractive) lobby, we were finally vacated to our rooms. Much to our disapointment, a small numbers of these rooms were virtually inhabititable! There were broken beds, dirty rooms and sewerage problems but to name a few! The staff of hotel Noto were qute rude with hardly a word of English. On a poitive note, the hotel itself was in a good location, it's in walking distance of the train station, which has good eating and shopping facilities. All in all, the hotel Noto is a low rate European hotel, much to be expected for the cheap prices and good location, one can oversee the little problems if they wish.

My experience at the Hotel Noto was horrible. I stayed there during the first week of June 2006. The beds were disgusting; the sheets looked like they had various stains, including blood. The showers were the worst, though. First of all, there were no shower curtains, so the whole bathroom flooded. And, our shower head was dirty with rust, and so when I used it, I got a terrible rash all over my arms, back and chest. The manager tried to blame it on my body wash (which I had been using for over a year) and was extremely rude until she saw that the shower head really was rusty. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

There were 4 people in my room. It was pretty small but not as small as the other rooms. Saw bigger ones being used from schools. The fridge worked and so did the tv and safe! It was quite homey. Most of the hotels you stay in are white and stuff! This one actually used green. Its a bit noisy. Groups run around but not all. Some are civilised! Breakfast was ok! Very good for the area. Only thing i was a bit wary about was the lift. Its on its last wires! A bit jerky. When i first went on it i though i was going to die! And also i got stuck in one and had to pull the doors open and the fire escape isnt too good. I mean, standing in the window until the firemen come. We had bars in front of the window and the window ledge isnt big enought for 4 people to stand on. Other than those it was a great stay!

When my school group arrived at the hotel we expected a nice 4 star hotel as we were told. boy were we wrong. in our group their were four boys. we were put together in the smallest room. it was a fire hazard and we couldn't even put our bags in the room. So they moved us in to another room but only to find out that their were big tanks outside giving of gas. so after a couple of nights they moved us into a good room. their were a few small probalems like no shower mat or glass and the phone did not work. breakfast was good with a buffet. the staff i felt were very not pleasant.
i wouldn't go back again.

The staff is rude, the food is stale, the rooms are dark and the constant influx of school parties will do your head in. If you've never been to Rome before and you expect any help or info then go to another hotel. Its rubbish and in a seedy part of the city.

Hotel in side steet near Termini station. Not bad area considering its reputation. Room booked std twin very small no shower curtain in bathroom - flooding. Breakfast plentiful. Staff pleasant and reasonably helpfull. If cosidering this hotel suggest booking a superior room.
