As a single traveler, my only complaint would be the small rooms provided for those other singles. Otherwise, everything else was fine.
I look forward to my return on Oct 25 with my next group.

I always wonder when I read hotel reviews how so many people love a hotel and one person finds it repulsive. Most of the reviews I read about this hotel were even tempered. Well here is what happened to us . The room safe would not open this caused the front desk to become very unhappy even though I explained it was like that when I got in the room. ( the issue was never resolved)/
There was no hot water and what little water we managed to get out of the shower head merely trickled down the wall along the bath rim and on to the floor. When we opened the refrigerator door the so called ice tray fell out, but it was full of water adding a huge wet spot to the already filthy and stained rug near the bed. We eventually wound up with a wet floor, a flooded bath remember the water dripping down the shower head and on the bathtub rim?? How this hotel could be rated anymore than 1 star at maximum boggles the mind.

Wonderful front desk staff, lovely clean rooms

I brought a group to this hotel and they all enjoyed their stay. Our rooms were very nice and we would all encourage others to stay here. Very close to the train station and good restaurants nearby.
I will be bringing another group late June.

Top Local Tips for Rome

Avoid the Hotel Shuttle from airport if you're in a hurry. Despite taking you "right to your hotel" , as mentioned by sales clerk in airport, be prepared to stop at several hotels before they take to to YOUR hotel. Instead, opt for the Express train to Terminii Station, it's non-stop and only 11 Euro one way, about half hour ride.

Close to termini It was very close to the train station and easy to walk to all city attractions.

Metro Getting around is easy. We used the Metro, go down the 2 floors and get your ticket from the orange machines, quick and easy, make sure you have exact or close to exact change in euros. 4 euros for full day metro and buses. . Everything was so close we just took the metro to drop off point (example Coloseo=Colosseum) and walked to everything else (Panthanon, Trevi, etc.) Make sure you have a good map and a good sense of direction otherwise..take the buses.
