Last minute bookings If you are traveling on a budget and you don't have a set schedule, look for last-minute bookings only a week or so in advance. You can get some amazing accommodations for less than half the regular price, especially if you aren't traveling in high season.

Vatican Tour We quite by accident got into a Roman Odyssey tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. The guide was exceptionally qualified!

Buses The buses are excellent in Rome and you go everywhere on a day ticket for 3 Euros. Get a bus map first so you can take maximum advatntage of this first class system.
