Carisbrooke Hotel Forres Morayshire Some members of the family and I stayed there for a family celebration and wished we hadn't. It is expensive for what we got. The rooms were basic and rather grotty looking. Ours were in a sort of portabin-type thing, chosen because we didn't want to be in the main building where the disco etc was. The food serving was quite large but left much to be desired taste-wise: 'dire' would best describe it. There's a B&B not far from there which looks much nicer, and cheaper unless the Ramnee Hotel appeals at over £100 per night. However, the food at the Ramnee is good. Further into the town centre, is the delightful Italian restaurant AroRoma ( read my review: AroRoma: a little gem...) for a relaxing meal.
