I don't know that Parker could have stayed in the same hotel/hostel that I did, because it wasn't perfect, but if that is the worst he/she has stayed in, they have lived in a shell all his/her life. It has a couple of dorm rooms which for Rome are reasonably priced for what you get. They are clean, the bathroom is clean, the shower is a bit small but certainly not designed for a 5 year old like parker says (unless ofcourse the 5 year old in 6 foot tall and weighs 70kg). It has a good location, close to termini station but not too close like a lot of the hostels are. It is a good place to base you travels from. The manager isn't the best going around, but certainly not too bad. I think parker must have been drunk most the time so he/she mustn't of had their eyes or ears working properly.
Good for the price

It was a good hotel for the price (breakfast incl.) Rooms were clean, bathrooms as well. Personnel very helpful and friendly. Great location. 10 walking min. from Termini and Coloseum. Roman Forum close as well. We walked to all the tourist attractions from there. Didn't use the Metro once. Nice Restaurant around the corner as well.
Don't stay here

Do not stay at here. The picture of the room on-line is a lie. I stayed here and the room was so small I thought I was in a closet or a small work cubical. The shower was tiny and made for a 5yr old child. I was on top of my roommate the entire time we could not even move around the room. The walls a super thin and I could hear my fellow travelers coming and going all through the night. It is not worth it for the price. To top it off the manager was rude. Spend your money elsewhere.

Pizzeria Marios When you walk on the Via Cavour down to the forum (on the left hand you have the colleseum one block on the right)...you will find the hotel 'Forum roma'. Is a four star rated hotel. you walk into that street and then you will find on the right a very small pizzeria called 'marios!'...the best food we had in a week in Rome!!! excellent, very small and very italian!
