Don't be put off by the dark lobby at Hotel Piccolo. The hotel itself is on the 4th floor of an old town house and proved a lovely find. Spotless bathroom and bed linen. A small balcony to sit at catching the afternoon sun. The staff were extremely helpful. We walked everywhere from here. Journey from Ciampano easy. a 1 euro ticket on the local bus which dropped you outside the metro. Metro straight in to Spagna. Five minute walk from there to the hotel. Breakfast continental but plenty to set you up for the day.
