The room was small by North American standards, but reasonably comfortable, and kept very clean. The desk staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly.

Beggars When walking through Rome watch out for a child with a piece of cardboard. While you are watching the cardboard,another child in the group will be in your pocket or bag. Be wary when you are in the queue for entrance into the Vatican City as beggars walk down the lines with a blanket over their shoulder and arm and the other hand out asking for money. The hand you cannot see because of the blanket is actually in your pocket or handbag.They are masters of distraction. I would recommend that you wear minimal jewellery and use a money belt or similar for your cash and cards.
